For everyone who knows AI Coffee Break from the YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@AICoffeeBreak/ , here are the reasons I’ve decided to give blogging a try:
Text is Easier to Skim and Search
One of the main reasons I’m diving into blogging is that, while YouTube videos offer a more personal and interactive experience, they can be a bit cumbersome when you're looking for specific information. A blog post, on the other hand, allows you to easily skim through content to find exactly what you're looking for. Whether you're revisiting a concept or searching for a particular tip, text is simply more accessible for quick reference.Building and Editable Written Archive
YouTube videos are not easily editable, and correcting a factual mistake can be quite costly. To fix an error, you must take down the entire video, which not only impacts the reach but also reduces the view count and engagement you've already built up. In contrast, Substack posts are much more flexible—you can quickly update or correct them with just a few clicks, ensuring the information remains accurate without any disruption to your audience's experience.Reaching a Broader Audience
Lastly, I believe that expanding into blogging will help reach people who may not be active on YouTube but are avid readers. Not everyone has the time or the ability to watch a video. Maybe you're on the go, at work, or just prefer reading to listening. A blog post can be accessed anywhere, at any time, without needing headphones or a screen. Plus, it’s easier to consume content at your own pace—whether that’s a quick glance during a coffee break (pun intended) or a more focused read.
In this blog, I'll be sharing written versions of the topics I've covered—and will be covering—in my videos. This way, you can enjoy the content in both formats, whether you prefer watching or reading!
Let’s make our coffee breaks even more enriching—now with words and videos!
Cheers,
Letitia and Ms. Coffee Bean
